Privacy Policy for AI B1 Examiner

Effective Date: July 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to AI B1 Examiner ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by AI B1 Examiner.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

  • Voice Data: When you use the practice mode, your voice input is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing and generating specific feedback. We do not store your voice recordings on our servers; they are processed transiently.
  • Topic Data: Information you input into the topic builder (e.g., topic names, related vocabulary) is stored locally on your device.

B. Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app, such as which features are used most frequently.
  • Purchase History: We track your in-app purchase history (e.g., session packs) to manage your credits. This is handled securely through Apple's StoreKit and Google Play Billing.
  • Advertising Data: The app may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, ad interaction data, and diagnostics according to Google's advertising policies, your device privacy settings, and any consent choices requested in your region.

3. How We Use Your Information - Gemini API

We use Google's Gemini API to power the AI Examiner features.

  • Processing: Your text and voice inputs (converted to text) are sent to Gemini to generate conversational responses and corrections.
  • Data Usage: Please refer to Google's Generative AI Proprietary Terms for details on how they handle data. We do not use your data to train our own models.

4. Data Storage

  • Local Storage: Most of your data, including custom topics, vocabulary lists, and session history, is stored locally on your device.
  • Cloud Storage: We do not currently maintain a central cloud database of your personal study data.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for:

  • Analytics: (e.g., Firebase Analytics) To understand app usage.
  • Payment Processing: (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) To handle payments.
  • Advertising: (e.g., Google AdMob) To display banner and interstitial ads. Premium users may receive an ad-free experience where available. In regions where Google requires consent, the app requests advertising consent before requesting ads and may show a Privacy Choices option in Settings so you can update or revoke your advertising choices.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
